Bestway boosts support for independent retailers

To enhance support for independent retailers nationwide, Bestway Wholesale has deployed 23 new territory sales managers as part of its field operations. This initiative seeks to support regular in-person interactions, offer actionable retail guidance, and share Bestway’s wholesale and category knowledge, ensuring customers receive tailored assistance.
The team of 23 territory sales managers will be supported by two field sales managers covering the North and South, reporting into a national retail controller. This investment forms part of Bestway’s strategy to strengthen relationships with independent retailers and provide them with the tools and support they need to succeed.
The territory sales managers will work closely with retailers to understand their individual business needs, identify opportunities for growth, and provide practical recommendations to improve store performance. They will review product ranges, identify gaps and new product opportunities, and improve promotional execution.
Dan Lewis, sales director of Bestway Wholesale and Bestway Retail, states that independent retailers are at the heart of the business, and the company recognises the important role it plays in helping them remain competitive and profitable. Lewis adds that the company’s ambition is to help customers sell more, make more, and save more by providing them with the right advice, insight, and support.

Naser Khan, managing director of Bestway Wholesale, notes that independent retailers are the backbone of communities across the UK, and their success is fundamental to the company’s own. Khan states that strengthening the field sales operation is an important part of the company’s wider growth strategy and demonstrates its commitment to independent retail.
To ensure the highest standards of customer support, all territory sales managers have completed an induction and training programme covering Bestway’s wholesale proposition, retail support services, and category expertise. This training will be complemented by ongoing training and development to help them better understand the individual challenges faced by retailers and work alongside them to identify opportunities for growth.
Bestway Wholesale’s investment in its field operations is a significant step towards achieving its goals.
