LV Petroleum to open 34 new travel centers - travel centers
In September, LV acquired four TA locations, and on October 5, the company announced it had over 90 locations.

LV Petroleum aims to have 140 travel centers by the end of 2027, according to Monica Androsko, the company’s vice president of brand, mobility and risk. The retailer currently operates 106 sites, primarily under the TravelCenters of America brand, and plans to reach 110 by the end of this year.

The company’s expansion plans are ambitious, with a goal to grow its network by over 30% in just over a year. This growth push began after the COVID-19 pandemic, and LV has been active on the M&A front, acquiring multiple TA travel centers across the US.

In September, LV acquired four TA locations, and on October 5, the company announced it had over 90 locations. Reaching 110 locations by the end of 2026 would extend this momentum, while the goal to reach 140 sites by the end of next year would be a significant expansion from its current footprint.

LV’s growth plan stands out for a retailer of its size, and if the company continues expanding at its current trajectory, it could become one of the fastest-growing small or midsize convenience operators in the country. The speed of the company’s expansion was noted by Amy Toner, chief of staff of the National Association of Truck Stop Owners.

Androsko attributed the company’s rapid expansion to the Trump administration’s tax reforms, saying they are trying to take advantage of those write-offs. The company is also adding new leaders, including a new CEO appointed in April, and Jonathan Pertchik, former CEO of TA, who was named chairman of the board of directors earlier this month.

LV has made significant changes to its leadership team, including the appointment of a new chief talent officer in May. Androsko stated that they are pushing as many sites as they can before the end of the year, indicating that the company’s expansion plans are likely to continue.

Monica Androsko’s statement suggests that the company is committed to its growth strategy, and with the addition of new leaders, they are well-positioned to achieve their goals. The company’s expansion plans will be closely watched by industry observers, who are eager to see if LV can maintain its rapid growth pace.
