Costco expands delivery with Uber and DoorDash

In a move to enhance its e-commerce capabilities, Costco has broadened its collaborations with Uber and DoorDash, enabling nationwide delivery via both platforms. The company revealed that approximately 600 of its stores are now accessible on Uber Eats.
Meanwhile, Costco and DoorDash’s U.S. launch builds on their existing global relationship, with nearly 630 locations across 47 states and Washington, D.C. available on DoorDash’s marketplace.
Both announcements signify Costco’s ongoing efforts to scale its e-commerce offerings, with President and CEO Ron Vachris previously noting that same-day delivery is a strong loyalty driver and is commonly utilized by its highest-spending members.
Costco’s work with Uber commenced in 2021 with a delivery pilot in 25 locations across Texas, and has since expanded to nearly all U.S. stores, providing shoppers the option to order on demand and scheduled delivery.

Customers will have access to same-day and scheduled delivery from Costco via DoorDash’s marketplace, with the spokesperson noting that this expansion marks a significant growth in Costco’s e-commerce offerings.
